Nimisha Modi holds this belief close to her heart. Having joined the product team to build out the foundation for the data and analytics piece, she believes that it’s not talent alone but one’s willingness to outwork and outlearn that gets you to your goals. Especially if you wanna be the first in line.
A core member of the Product team at Infinyte, Nimisha holds nothing against making mistakes because in her own words, if you aren’t embarrassed by the first version of your product, you’ve waited too long to launch.
What got you interested in Infinyte?
The fact that everyone seemed to take pride in solving a truly unique problem statement.
I’m not saying it to sound cool but Infinyte is not just another fintech company on its way to revolutionize payments. Tapping into an untapped and unexplored set of users is exactly what got me hooked.
Infinyte wants to unlock incredible, exclusive wealth creation opportunities for builders of the modern, tech-age. What drew you to this challenge?
The idea that someone wants to create liquidity for ESOPs is in itself ingenious!
Imagine a world where equity becomes a currency for employees to judge job offers, and the builders unlock wealth that they deserve as much as the founders and early investors.
It’s a world that I would love to be a part of. Wouldn’t you?
What’s been your favorite moment at work?
There have been some memorable moments from my time here that I will always remember. But a specific one comes to mind. It was during the final demo day for the month of March.
Alright, back to the story.
So it’s a ritual now to step away from our usual office premises on the last demo day of every month. This time around, we were seated in the large-but-cramped conference room at Paper&Pie.
Everyone had wrapped up, and it was time for the founders to conclude. Without divulging too much, I’d say it was about ‘shit hitting the fan’ but in the best way possible. Ankita and Joy told us about how well our product was being received by early customers, and that the reviews were overwhelmingly positive.
It was during this conversation I felt for the first time that I was part of building something groundbreaking.
What have you learnt during your time so far?
Short answer: startups are all about shipping, learning, and growing. And doing it over and over again till we have changed the world. 🚀
Long answer: While still work-in-progress, I have learned how to set up the foundational analytics for products. It’s something that I scratched my hair out for, grabbed whoever I could find, and watched whatever YouTube had to offer. That being said, I'm a quick learner and whatever the need of the hour calls for, I’m your gal.
Before working in Product, I was very fascinated with how PMs brainstorm on new features, collaborate across multiple teams and bring their creative front to work. 2 months in and I have realised that the job of a PM is so much more. I have learnt that how to solve is easy, and figuring out what to solve is what really takes up most of your time and effort.
I’ve had some good days and I’ve also had days where I felt absolutely defeated. What I learned from experiencing such extremes is that you need to remember what you are working towards to get back up and be up on your feet the next day.
The world waits for no one, there are no winners or losers. There are only those who are determined to stay in the game. Which, incidentally is how an infinite game is played - the philosophy on which Infinyte Club is founded.
What more are you looking forward to learning, doing and executing at Infinyte?
With that philosophy being my guiding principle, I aim to learn, grow and come up 10x of who I was when I started. I want to build products that solve for the teeny-tiny bits of customer feedback and evaluate each new feature with a single-minded focus on “will this help solve a problem for the customer, and can we at Infinyte put our best foot forward to do that?”
I want to add value such that I can look back and say, “hey, do you see that feature on the app - yeah, I built it and shipped it.” 💁♀️
Talk about the one Infinyte value you resonate with the most
“We are customer obsessed.”
I believe successful products are built not just for the customers but also with them. They want solutions, not features.
Which is where having a bird’s eye view of your product matters, making sure that it solves a problem rather than flooding users with superfluous fluff.

→ Moniker at Infinyte and why: Devil’s Advocate (”What does the DA’s Office have to say?”). This comes from having a critical but constructive stance on product, design and other elements of work. I’m steadfast in the belief that we can’t improve the world if we’re not willing to be criticised. No one makes a difference by being like everyone else.
